The patina process is accomplished by applying heat to the freshly poured bronze. Then a selection of chemicals are applied depending on the desired patina. The amount of heat is decided on based on the chemical used and the desired patina. Below are photos of the process starting with the newly poured bronze and ending with the finished patina.
